Role Overview:



The role of the Payments Team Leader will work within the Central Finance team for Savills Property Management reporting to the CF Support Team Manager. The team are responsible for the daily processing and posting of internal and external payments including payments to clients, daily Chaps and weekly BACS runs.

In this role you will coordinate and assist a team of 6, managing and distributing workloads to ensure tasks are completed on time and as per the schedule in place. You will be responsible for day to day management of the team ensuring processes in place are followed to ensure compliance and control.

The role will assist in recruitment, training, one to one’s and appraisals as well as identifying team and personal development.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with the Central Finance Support Manager to ensure tasks are completed in the required timeframes and within the controls in place

  • Manage resource around workloads and the schedule of tasks in place

  • Support and assist the team and the wider business to resolve issues

  • Build relationships with internal colleagues to ensure effective communication

  • Identify and assist with training and team development

  • Be accountable for specific tasks assigned to you

  • Be involved in business improvements, software testing, projects and adapt to change

  • Ensure compliance of RICS and CIS requirements

  • Ensure tasks are performed in line with internal Policies & Procedures

  • Liaise with Property Managers, Client Accountants and Credit Control re key cash-flow

  • Ensure CCJ’s/Legal enforcement documentation are resolved in a timely manner

  • Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders as required

  • Staff training including cross training and team development

  • Assist with recruitment, one to ones and appraisals

Team Overview:


A fast paced, high volume and friendly environment working alongside the Credit Control, Banking, Billings and Reconciliation and Control teams. The team currently consists of 6 team members and 1 Manager.
The team manage the processing and posting of all outgoing payments to Savills Clients as well as external and internal suppliers based on a weekly schedule using various banking platforms and utilising an inhouse workflow tool.
They also manage incoming queries including CCJ’s/Legal Enforcement and investigate bank rec items
