Your role as a Supervisor within the Outpatient Department (OPD) Under Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham (WTWA) and will involve first-line management and supervision of the Administrative & Clerical team, supporting the Assistant Operational Manager and Service Manager for OPD to ensure a smooth delivery of service to our patients, visitors and stakeholders. You will display strong people and communication skills and be customer-care focused.



About the Role



We have a vacancy within our Outpatient Admin Team across Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham (WTWA). This role is primarily based at Wythenshawe Hospital, however, there may be a requirement to support at the other sites such as Withington. This team work to support the clinical activity and Phlebotomy call centre within the Outpatient Department.



We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate personal commitment, logical thinking and problem solving, who can work well under pressure, independently and as part of a team across the full range of OPD activities. You will need to deal with a wide range of queries and find solutions for our patients and colleagues. You will also be expected to prioritise your workload and work autonomously as well as part of a larger team.



Your role will involve first-line management and supervision of the Administrative & Clerical team, supporting the Service Manager for OPD accordingly. You will display strong people and communication skills and be customer-care focused.



Duties of the role will include facilitating weekly staff rotas, collating information upon request, ensuring adequate clerical cover throughout the OPD and supporting the delivery of service during times of staffing shortages, dealing with patients and visitors, maintaining and ordering stock supplies, induction and training of newly appointed staff and using all IT systems associated with the clinics/Trust.
