Financial Reporting Specialist – Salary circa £45,000



We are looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist who will play a key role in ensuring that Aviva’s financial reporting delivers timely and high-quality outputs in an efficient manner to internal and external stakeholders through the provision of the range of financial reporting services



A bit about the job:



You will support the Financial Reporting Senior Manager to ensure CFOs for the in-scope markets are delivering their accountabilities for Solvency II and IFRS reporting to the relevant Boards, regulators and Aviva plc and ensuring Accounting technical standards are met and to implement change related to financial reporting, including regulatory changes



You will assist in producing the reporting required by the legal entity CFO on the financial results and associated controls to appropriate oversight governance committees (including Audit Committee and Board). You will also ensure effective risk management processes and robust financial reporting controls are always operating in compliance with Aviva’s risk and controls frameworks. You will be a proficient user of FCCS and ensuring the process flow of financial statement information into the system is efficient and accurate



Skills and experience we’re looking for:



  • Strong understanding of technical accounting issues and financial reporting requirements including both IFRS and Solvency II.

  • Strong understanding of how to design, implement and maintain an effective financial reporting control framework.

  • Have excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation.

  • Flexible to changing requirements and ability to prioritise workload effectively, while maintaining high quality outputs considering both long-term strategic and operational impact.

  • Proven broad experience of problem solving and taking responsibility.

  • Salary circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
