Web Designer (UX/UI) - Volunteer

Web Designer to create a website showcasing the creative & community projects. Conduct UX research, implement designs, develop Wordpress CMS, optimise content, conduct UX audit.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Web Designer, with expertise in UX/UI design.
• Proficiency in Wordpress CMS and ability to customize and develop websites using its features.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools and ability to collaborate effectively with graphic designers.
• Understanding of UX research methodologies, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to optimize content for search engines.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with content writers and other team members.
• Experience with website UX auditing and implementing design changes based on feedback.
  
  

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

• UX Research and Design
• Conduct user research to understand the target audience and their needs.
• Create wireframes and prototypes to visualize and test the website's user interface and user experience.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive designs.
• Website Development and CMS Management
• Develop the redesigned website using Wordpress CMS.
• Customize and integrate plugins, themes, and other necessary functionalities.
• Ensure responsive design and optimal performance across different devices and browsers.
• Brand Identity and Visual Design
• Rebuild the brand identity of the two projects within the website design.
• Maintain consistency in visual elements, such as color schemes, typography, and graphics.
• Collaboration and Content Optimization
• Work closely with content writers to create engaging and user-friendly text.
• Optimize website content for both UX and SEO purposes, ensuring effective communication of project information.
• Website UX Audit and Optimization
• Conduct regular audits to evaluate the website's UX effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement design changes based on audit findings, striving for continuous enhancement of the user experience.
