The role holder will develop and lead a CFK Schools Delivery Team (SDT) of Volunteers; inspiring creativity and ideas generation within the team, defining and communicating the team's goals and strategy.

The CFK Schools Delivery Team Leader will effectively develop and lead a CFK Schools Delivery Team (SDT) of Volunteers; inspiring creativity and ideas generation within the team, defining and communicating the team's goals and strategy, building the best team, and managing the activities necessary to achieve the goals and meet commitments made on behalf of the team.

Experience / Skills Experience working with children, (other) teachers and parents in school settings. A clear interest in nutrition and lifestyle. Some formal training in working with children, for example as teacher, teaching assistant, educationalist, health/sport coach Experience and interest in working with authorities. Strong management and leadership experience. Articulate written, visual and verbal communicator, fluency in English is essential. About You To be successful in this role you will Have a visible passion for healthy lifestyle and for engaging in charitable work to contribute to improved public health, especially of children and adolescents. Have a real enthusiasm for excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and change. Enjoy building and working as part of team and inspiring others. Be a team player who is positive, hands on and able to get the best out of a team. Be proactive and collaborative. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Have a high level of attention to detail. Have the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your own workload and that of others in your team. Have strong skills to manage projects. We have a number of potential Intervention sites in the West Sussex/East Hampshire region and Greater Manchester region. It would desirable (but not essential) if you are located within one of these regions and able to travel to Intervention sites when required. General – About CFK Roles There is scope to expand this role as appropriate and desired. Whilst we ask volunteers to commit to taking roles for a duration of the project which is expected to last 2+ years, the monthly and weekly time commitment to this role, and its responsibilities, is flexible and needs to suit the volunteer. For this role, we ask for a minimum of 5-6 hours per week (on average), which some weeks may be more and some less.
What will you be doing?
Your Responsibilities As a Schools Delivery Team Leader, you, together with your team, are the experts in the CFK schools' “space” and your duties will include, but are not limited to Team Strategy With the support of the CFK Leadership Team, input from your team, and a strong understanding of your audiences and stakeholder needs, developing your team strategies and SMART goals. Working closely with the educational contents team (CT) and the research, data analysis and evidencing team (RD&E) to ensure that the workshop materials will meet the Intervention goals and needs. Team Leadership Working closely with the People Team to build your team of local (on-the ground) volunteers, ensuring your team members’ skills and experience match their roles and responsibilities (including creating role descriptions and recruitment). Ensuring all team members are clear on their roles and are making positive contributions to the achievement of team goals. Helping the team members to remain motivated and collaborative to achieve team goals. Project Management Leading the implementation of different School’s projects and interventions, by managing the resources, objectives, timelines, risks & issues and the team. Overseeing the creation of interventions by designing and developing intervention components, aligned to CFK’s and the Schools Delivery Team goals. Intervention Sites and Strategic Partners Finding and engaging with potential Intervention Sites (i.e. schools) and Strategic Partners (i.e. other projects or organisations where our mission and values align). Encouraging team members to seek beneficial partnership opportunities, external to CFK, where values align. Ensuring strong relationships with Strategic Partners and Intervention Sites, especially key stakeholders, are fostered and maintained. Oversee the design, development and delivery of interventions, measuring and reporting at baseline and after interventions. Formalise “Lessons Learnt” summary after each Intervention and communicate this formally to CFK Leadership, Strategic Partners and Enabling Teams and follow up to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
