Veterinary Surgeon
Vets for Pets
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Preston
Contract type: Part time

Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team at Preston Vets for Pets which will turn 4 years old later this year after a relocation.
About Us
Our team really enjoys the working environment, as you can clearly see on the google tour that we are happy to share with you by clicking on the link below. The practice is situated on Preston Docks which is a lovely setting with local amenities. Our team has specialism in Dentistry and the team would welcome someone with an interest in Orthopaedics, however this is not essential.
It was ranked 11th out of 51 cities in 2023 in the Good Growth for Cities Index as the quality of life was rated above average beating some of the bigger cities such as Manchester, London and Liverpool. If you are in search of affordable housing, a place to live less affected by urbanisation and lower cost of living then Preston could be a great option!
As a training practice, you will work alongside a Practice Owner/Head Nurse, Practice Manager, 2 Vets, 3 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s, 1 VCA and our reception team.
About You
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic experienced veterinary surgeon and ideally someone that can mentor more junior members of the team. You will be confident working sole charge and have surgical experience too. Dentistry experience would be desirable but not essential for this role.
We are hoping to find somebody that can work part time (20hours over 2 days per week), no weekends or OOH, allowing you to achieve a great work/life balance to enjoy everything on offer in the local area and beyond.
We can offer you
Alternatively, you can submit your application directly to us now and somebody will be in touch with you to discuss this further. We look forward to hearing from you!
Location: PR2 2YN
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer!

Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
