We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Woodlands and Filham Park.

Location: Ivybridge

Contract: Fixed Term 12 Month Contract

Hours: 19

Shift Pattern: Tuesday 08:30 - 13:30, Thursday 08:30-13:00 (Woodlands) Wednesday 08:30 - 13:00, Thursday 13:30 - 18:30 (Filham Park)

About The Role

Day-to-day Duties Of The Role Will Include

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What We're Looking For In Our Veterinary Receptionist

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
