We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to oversee all aspects of foodservice and support operations . This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong client relationships, and commercially sound operations across the venue.
£40000 - £45000 per annum depending on experience
You will be the key point of contact for the client, accountable for operational excellence, financial performance, team leadership, and compliance. Your focus will be on delivering great food, outstanding experiences, and a safe, engaging environment for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Venue Management
- Oversee all foodservice and support service operations across the venue
- Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and commercial partners
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and action feedback from client satisfaction surveys
- Represent Compass Group as a brand ambassador on-site
- Control venue costs including labour, food, and operational expenses
- Monitor and manage gross profit and sales performance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Drive purchasing compliance and minimise food waste
- Adapt staffing levels in line with business needs and manage agency spend
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient food and support services
- Implement and maintain health & safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate with teams to continuously improve service and performance
- Ensure the venue operates within agreed budgets and KPIs
- Lead, motivate and support a high-performing team
- Manage recruitment, training, coaching, and succession planning
- Promote a positive workplace culture through communication and recognition
- Monitor labour turnover and absenteeism, and implement strategies to minimise both
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and understand their roles in health & safety and food safety compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a similar Venue Manager or senior operations role
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Proven track record in budget management and achieving KPIs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety and compliance standards
- Level 3 Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications
- Experience within Compass Group or similar high-volume foodservice environment
