Role Overview

Are you an experienced procurement leader ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for two dynamic UK Sourcing Team Managers to lead and develop a high-performing team of Buyers and support staff. Based at our Runnings Road site, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning UK sourcing strategies with broader business and Global Supply Chain (GSC) objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive supplier performance, manage risk, and champion operational excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of up to 6 direct reports to ensure capability growth and high performance.
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for procurement-related issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and global procurement teams to align sourcing strategies.
  • Managing UK sourcing strategies with a three-year outlook, supporting sustainability and risk mitigation.
  • Overseeing supplier relationship management, ensuring performance across Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation, and Sustainability (QCDIS).
  • Supporting procurement aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Value Stream activities.
  • Driving continuous improvement through process enhancements and digital tools.
  • Coordinating tendering, cost analysis, and value assessments to ensure robust sourcing decisions.
  • Ensuring continuity of supply and resolving procurement execution issues.

Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include….

  • Proven leadership in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment—ideally in regulated sectors like aerospace, defence, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong background in cost control, budget management, tendering, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience managing procurement change initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exposure to international procurement operations and supplier networks.
  • Commodity and supplier management across both direct and indirect categories.
