Transport Coordinator

We have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator to be based fulltime at our Rainham Facility. The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for vehicle compliance and provide support to deliver an efficient and effective collection service. This is an exciting opportunity with huge potential for growth, within our busiest site across the UK!

Working hours: Sunday to Thursday; 5am to 3pm

What will your role involve? 

• Planning, scheduling and system set up for routes
• Daily compliance checks including defect reporting
• Conduct driver debriefs and infringement meetings
• Driver card & vehicle uploads
• Management of driver timesheets and hours
• Hold driver training and toolbox talks
• Third party liaision for hire vehicles, temporary drivers and maintenance services
• Maintain vehicle and driver files
• Organise and manage transport for disposal outlets
  
  
  

Who are we looking for? 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with strong understanding of Transport Compliance
• Experience of vehicle routing and excellent geographical knowledge
• Experience of building relations and working with drivers on a daily basis
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft packages with Intermediate Excel skills
• Full UK Driving License
