The Role
To lead the testing team in order to deliver all testing requirements from internal product testing, research and development testing and external customer testing. Product range includes breathing apparatus to include both commercial and military diving equipment, breathing masks and diving chamber survival equipment.
Principle Accountabilities
You will need to keep up to date with technical developments and innovations in the field.
Excellent written and verbal communication along with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing scope or business demands.
Willingness to take ownership and accountability of tasks and drive to completion.
Focused on delivering cost efficient solutions on time and on budget.
Willingness to work cross discipline (e.g. software, medical, mechanical, electronics).
You will need a flexible approach to working as you will need to be available to attend site visits to other JFD offices and client assets as and when required.

The Role

Principle Accountabilities
- Provide testing support to the existing product range, as well as new systems and products.
- Responsible for reviewing customers testing requirements and accountable for conducting testing, safely and in accordance with agreed test protocols.
- Responsible for assessing testing requirements and providing quotations on cost and lead-time to complete testing.
- Responsible for generation of test reports that clearly record test equipment, methodology, results and recommendations.
- Responsible for collaborating with wider business to provide input to testing requirements from bids, engineering, service and production.
- Support the engineering team to ensure compliance with breathing standards and to support innovation activities for new products.
- Liaise with internal JFD departments such as innovation, sales, procurement and production to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances.
- Creation of standard procedures, test reports and data capture.
- Responsible for ensuring test equipment and assets are calibrated and maintained in order to meet business demands.

Qualifications And Experience
- Experience with rapid prototyping using 3D print technology (SLA, FDM, SLS, etc)
- Experience with CAD modelling.
- Experience with analytical software and scripting (Python and/or Matlab would be
- advantageous).
- Experience with producing data analysis algorithms and generating reports.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies would be advantageous.
- Experience in developing test software or applications would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in developing biomedical technology for diving applications would be advantageous.
- BSc or MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Proven biomedical engineering skills would be a distinct advantage.
