Your New Role
Do you have a mechanical engineering background coupled specifically with experience of testing, ideally of survival equipment? Do you have experience or a familiarisation of testing to specific industry standards? If so, we may have the role for you. Our RFD Beaufort Division in Ellesmere Port is recruiting a Test, Evaluation and Integration Engineer as part of the Design & Technical team.
You will primarily be working with a group of fantastic engineers, who are devoted to developing, testing and equipping pilots from around the globe with cutting edge Pilot Flight Equipment and Survival Technologies.
The Design & Technical team is responsible for creating everything from the initial concept to the final design of Survitec products. They develop ideas for new products and prototypes, as well as evolving the design details of established ranges. They deeply understand the safety needs of our customers.

The Experience And Skills You Will Have
Key responsibilities for the Test, Evaluation and Integration Engineer include but are not limited to:-
- Working in collaboration with the design team to determine product testing parameters in accordance with specific industry standards
- Writing test plans and creating test cases for product qualification to meet customer requirements.
- Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards
- Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures
- Compiling factual based test and evaluation reports
- Responsible for ensuring that the customer requirements are fulfilled in the designed product by carrying out engineering assessments, modelling and physical test campaigns
- Works within an established project management plan to achieve specific business and function goals
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in engineering technology
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate design and testing concepts
- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
- Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Using engineering principals and knowhow to design and implement unique manual and automated test systems
- Proficient in CAD software and engineering tools.
- University degree level in Engineering or Aerospace
- 2 – 5 years of general engineering experience
- Qualification of Aerospace products experience
- Product Safety experience
- FMECA/ DFMEA experience
