Job description This is a highly technical role that would be suited to an experienced individual in the Telecoms sector with a good knowledge of fibre network deployment, dependencies impacting deployment and interaction with other utility sectors.

You’ll have a key role in our Compliance team, working closely with our Quality and Training Manager, Lead Technical and Compliance Assessor and Operations Team on compliance standards on projects. You will be a strong team player, with the ability to impart your knowledge and provide technical support to our teams.

You will provide and support of in-house technical training delivery for the field teams; identification, documentation, and reporting of trends in technical competence as a basis for facilitating continuous improvement of our services in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the recognized subject matter expert (SME) to advise managers, supervisors and field teams on technical compliance, safety and quality best practices as per industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete site audits and ensure build is to client and entegro specifications. Resolve any deviations on site and input any audit findings into entegro’s system to ensure reporting is accurate and KPI’s traceable.
  • Develop and/or influence standard systematic improvement approaches to be adopted by the teams in the field.
  • Provide support to Management & Supervisors to resolve problems of staff underperforming on quality of workmanship.
  • Have input into the “book of knowledge” specific to Technical Compliance across the business, which allows for more fast and effective deployment of new teams in network deployment projects, ensuring service excellence.
  • Provide teaching and coaching to effectively develop talent and transfer skills into the organization for the development of field teams.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for project technical compliance escalations and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on service performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and execute recommendation plans based on identified gaps and/or improvement areas with relevant owners, deadlines and inter-dependencies identified.
  • Collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional partners to support decision making and develop industry leading processes and standards.
  • Support the maintenance and accreditation of our Training Centre, as a smart awards centre.

Skills required

  • Ideally 5 years plus in a hands-on Network Field Technical role & or similar role in fibre network deployment Tenacity for continuous performance improvement.
  • Excellent technical communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • A positive attitude and collaborative approach with strong interpersonal & influencing skills to motivate staff to continuously improve their performance.
  • A thorough knowledge of both Overhead & Underground Fibre Deployment.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Fibre Network GIS application at Field Operations Level.
  • IT proficient and familiar with use of Microsoft, email, laptop and email.
