Key Responsibilities The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for:
- Lead Generation: Collaborating with the Managing Director and marketing team to identify target markets and high-quality potential clients through research, networking, and industry contacts.
- Sales Planning: Developing activity plans to achieve sales strategy goals and targets.
- Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Client Meetings: Conducting telephone, online, and face-to-face meetings to understand client needs, present products, and offer customized solutions.
- Marketing Collaboration: Working with the marketing team to create collateral, provide feedback, and support lead generation activities.
- Sales Tracking and Reporting: Maintaining an up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking activities, and analysing data to refine strategies using CRM software.
- Product Knowledge: Gaining a deep understanding of the company’s industrial sensor product range to match customer needs with appropriate solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
- Representation: Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and services.
- Generating new leads and quotations monthly
- Converting leads into sales revenue
- Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets
- Conducting regular client meetings and maintaining high satisfaction rates
- A minimum of three A Levels or equivalent in science-based subjects (a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred)
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of industrial sensors and associated equipment (training will be provided if necessary)
