KBR is looking for a Technical Safety and Environmental (TS&E) Lead to support an Indonesian based LNG Project in Jakarta. The Lead will be responsible for interfacing with the TS&E Client counterpart, coordinating with the Jakarta based project partners on TS&E matters, managing Jakarta based TS&E Project work and supporting environmental and social consultation activities.

The Lead will, under broad direction, supervise and lead a group of engineers. Provide technical direction over a group and be responsible for coaching and developing lower-level professionals. The Lead will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Technical Safety scope area, or provide specialist expertise in one or more key project areas.
  • May supervise and lead the Technical Safety team: provide technical direction over a group with responsibility for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals.
  • Lead the design of larger and more complex assignments.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
  • With appropriate experience, lead the project Technical Safety team.

Skills And Experience

  • Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, including final year design projects and any work placements.
  • Expert level understanding of one or more areas of Technical Safety scope..
  • Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables including safety layouts and reports.
  • A relevant number of years of related experience.

Educational Experience

  • BEng or equivalent in science or engineering (typically Chemical Engineering)
  • Masters degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Process Safety preferred)
  • Chartered Engineer: membership of an accredited Institution, e.g. IChemE.
