DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Monitor and continuously improve service levels both in terms of order accuracy and delivery performance
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Act as a first point of contact for the customer in the event of operational queries
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
- Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
- Carry out regular briefings for shift ensuring that any feedback from operatives is recorded and responded to.
- Facilitate effective communication with staff & customers alike

- Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse environment is essential
- Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
- Knowledge of working time legislations and driving hours
- Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
