Smile Education is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis, providing essential support in classrooms and making a real difference to children's education.

Role Overview

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be working across various primary schools in Dudley, providing support in the classroom environment on a short- or long-term basis. You’ll assist teachers in delivering high-quality education, helping pupils with their learning, and maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to support their learning.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom management and pupil behaviour.
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) when required.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies to ensure the well-being of all pupils.

Requirements

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in primary school settings.
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools and year groups.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
