What You’ll Do
- Support one student in lessons and school activities, helping them develop independence and confidence.
- Plan and prepare tailored learning resources and activities in partnership with class teachers and the SEN team.
- Encourage inclusion within the classroom and on educational visits, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with parents, teachers and specialist professionals.
- Assist with behaviour management and promote a safe, supportive environment.
- Uphold child protection procedures and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
About You
- GCSEs (A-C) or NVQ Level 2 in numeracy & literacy; NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in supporting teaching and learning.
- Experience supporting children with reading, writing and social interaction needs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
- A proactive, empathetic and patient approach, with excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the IB programme.
- Understanding of ADHD and ASD, and experience working alongside specialist therapists (Speech & Language, Occupational).
- Experience teaching EFL/ESL reading and supporting adolescent wellbeing.
