Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Time Support: Provide consistent, full-time assistance to teachers across multiple schools in Truro, ensuring a stable and productive learning environment.
  • 1-1 Assistance:Offer tailored support to individual students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • SEN Support: Work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting to their unique requirements and contributing to their educational progress.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist in the delivery of lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support small group activities to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborative Work: Collaborate effectively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.

About You

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Commitment: A reliable individual who can commit to full-time work and meet the ongoing needs of multiple schools.
  • -Qualifications:A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
  • DBS Check: Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
