Fitzwilliam hospital is one of Cambridgeshire's leading private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for patients. It is a 54 single bedrooms and 1 twin-bedded room, all with en-suite facilities.

What You’ll Bring With You

This is a ‘hands on’ role and will report to Fitzwilliam Hospital’s Finance Manager. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as is the ability to effectively time manage an increasing workload. This post will cover 37.5 hours per week during Monday to Friday.


  • You will work closely with departmental manager’s and team leaders
  • Lead, motivate, supervise and where appropriate train a team of supplies staff including carrying out 1-1’s and supporting the team
  • Ensure all audits for the department are undertaken and address any issues raised
  • Ensure the implementation of compliance with all the relevant standards, policies and procedures within the department
  • Ensure goods and services are purchased to meet business requirements in line with the organisational policies and procedures. Time management skills are essential
  • Ensure KPI’s are delivered in line with the organisational requirements
  • Previous supplies experience is essential
  • Experience using SAP including running reports
  • Promote team working across the department
  • Ensure good working relationships at all times with theatre staff
  • Heavy lifting experience incorporating receiving stock and manually storing in the stock room
