Responsibilities
This role is part of the Supply Chain Logistics team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Blade Factory in Hull, where offshore wind turbine blades are manufactured for UK projects. The Supply Chain Logistics team is responsible for:
- Planning and scheduling production based on customer requirements
- Managing the flow of materials into the factory by coordinating with suppliers
- Ensuring the efficient transportation of materials from suppliers to the production line
- Ensure safe and efficient blade moves across the factory segments
- Identify and delivery improvements, utilising the support functions, techniques, and tools available to do so safely and efficiently
- Material ordering, confirmations and tracking
- Material Master updating for lot sizes, order frequencies, re-order points
- Resolution of purchase order exceptions and invoice queries
- Managing supplier deliveries on set days & pallet qty (quantity)
- Purchase order management including expediting orders
- Management of suppliers and associated CI projects
- Just-in-time (JIT) deliveries across a range of areas for the business
- Review, monitor & make improvements to existing processes across SCL
- Ensuring use of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure a high process efficiency and compliance
