Role description:
Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis’ core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10–12-week internship.

Working in teams of consultants you’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. Role accountabilities:
Geo-Environmental - As part of the Geo-Environmental discipline within our multi-award-winning Site Evaluation and Restoration team you will undertake site-based ground investigations to determine the nature and quality of ground conditions for purposes including geological / geotechnical assessment, soil contamination and groundwater quality. This data will then be used to either inform design decisions or determine the need for environmental restoration, which would be designed, implemented, and validated to bring the site back into suitable use and protect the environment from harmful impacts. As a student, you will work as part of the project teams and undertake site work, including soil & groundwater sampling and site supervision, as well as desk-based research and report writing.
