About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Contracts Manager with a strong background in the mining and construction equipment sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating and managing large-scale, long-term supply contracts with major equipment manufacturers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that contractual agreements align with organizational objectives, mitigate risks, and foster strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with legal, procurement, and technical teams to ensure contracts meet all legal and operational requirements.
Monitor contract performance, address deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Conduct regular reviews and meetings with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact contractual agreements.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on contract-related matters.
Qualifications And Experience
Our typical hybrid roles at Fortescue Zero require 3 days in the office and 2 from home, making the ability to commute to the stated office location for the required days essential.

Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in contract management is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management within the mining and construction equipment industries.
- Proven experience in negotiating large-scale supply contracts with major equipment manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and industry-specific regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex contractual documents and identify key issues and opportunities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in multinational organizations and managing cross-border contracts.
- Familiarity with sustainability and environmental considerations in equipment procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
