Job Overview
Cardiology Department – Rotational Program
Our Cardiology Department Is Comprised Of Three Key Areas
Coronary Care Unit (CCU): A 10-bed high-acuity cardiology unit
G9 Acute Cardiology Ward: A 20-bed cardiac ward
Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (CCL): A specialised unit for interventional procedures
We provide expert care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Our team collaborates across all three areas to support a 24-hour primary PCI service for STEMI patients.
This 12-month rotational program offers four-month placements in each clinical area (CCU, G9, and CCL), allowing you to develop a well-rounded skill set in cardiology. You will gain experience in caring for patients before and after coronary interventions, managing intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), non-invasive ventilation (NIV), inotropic support for cardiogenic shock, and temporary pacing wires. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist in cardiac procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, pericardiocentesis, and DC cardioversions.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in cardiology within a dynamic and supportive environment.
