What You'll Do:

This Senior Director/Analyst will provide actionable insights to Gartner clients (who are tech services leaders) who are planning, creating, and managing application services practices and offerings in both corporate and cloud environments. This role will also predict and project how application services market trends will impact end clients in their service solutions initiatives and decisions.

The successful candidate will have a vision for how application services will evolve, and what Gartner's service provider clients in this market, must do to succeed. We look for practical, operational and commercial, experience creating and bringing to market services solutions, the creation of differentiated services offerings, driving impact for clients, as well as growth and profitability at the practice level. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry experience across various application services (domains, COTS, custom), and have experience in consulting, implementation, management, and support in this space.

What You’ll Need:

You need to know the application services market, technologies (adoption and adaptation), buyer and competitive trends, offering/practice management practices, etc. and be able to see the forest and the trees.

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience working in the IT Services Marketplace
  • Experience as a leader in the application services industry
  • Experience working on service offerings in multiple segments of the application services marketplace.
  • Knowledge of Practice/Offering Leadership/Product Management is a must.
  • Executive Presence
  • Compelling composition and data analysis to glean actionable insights to deliver content to drive growth and retention for clients.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% where/when applicable.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 150,000 USD - 190,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
