We have an excellent opportunity for a support worker to join an established and lovely care team who work alongside our client in Milton Keynes.

Our client is a man in his early 20s who has complex needs, including mobility issues and personal care. He lives in his own home with his support team, enjoys music, tv, going to the gym and socialising with friends. Our client had an active lifestyle, enjoying cycling and sports before his injury and wishes to continue to live a full active life.

Due to the client’s support needs the successful candidate can be either male or female, will have some experience working with brain injury/complex needs and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.

Pay: £15.91 per hour weekdays, £17.82 per hour weekends

Hours: Up to 48 per week over four days (08:00-20:00 Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Key Responsibilities

The Libertatem Healthcare Group (part of Sonderwell) was established to provide the very best levels of care and support for clients who have sustained personal injuries or suffered from medical negligence. Operating on a national basis, we provide our clients with care and support wherever they are located. Our packages put our client’s independence at the very centre of everything we do.

  • Supporting, and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
  • Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
  • Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Reliability, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
