This is a fantastic opportunity for a Specifications Technologists to join our team at Poole for this site-based role, working 22.5 hour per week. We are flexible on how the hours are worked across the week and can discuss with individuals at interview stage.
Key Accountabilities
As our Specifications Technologist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our product information is accurate, compliant, and clearly communicated across all branded, private label, and third-party products. You’ll be the go-to expert for product specifications and packaging compliance, helping to make sure everything meets legal and market requirements.This is a collaborative role where you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Product Development, Commercial, Site Technical, Marketing, Packaging Technology, Operations and Regulatory. You’ll contribute to cross-functional projects, bringing clarity and precision to discussions around product data and packaging artwork.
Your high level of accuracy & attention to detail will be essential as you manage specification systems and support process improvements. With the help of guidance documents and a supportive team, you’ll ensure that packaging & labelling is not only compliant but also aligned with customer and retailer expectations.

And You Have The Following Skills And Experiences....
- In-depth knowledge of food labelling legislation across UK, EU, and international markets.
- Proven experience in specification management within the food industry.
- Proficiency with specification software systems (e.g., Hamilton Grant, Trace One, WWP).
- Understanding of nutrition and food manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrates a pragmatic approach to compliance and legislation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments and manufacturing sites.
