Sound Technician
Arlington Arts Centre

To work alongside the Technical manager to provide technical services for performances, exhibitions, hires and events at the Arlington Arts Centre.
Responsibilities
• To ensure that presentation of events is consistent and carries out to the highest possible standards
• To supervise Casual Technical staff
• Sound operation, setup & plan for live music events
• Help and assist companies to the stage for their event, including load-ins and get-outs
• Assist with seating and staging layout changes as required
• To undertake, if required, all manner of set refurbishment, painting, cleaning etc, and to assist with the maintenance of equipment within the Theatre
• To work safely at all times, adhering to Health and Safety at Work procedures
• To able to work at heights when required.
Knowledge and Experience
• At least one year’s experience working in a theatre, Arts Centre or live music technical environment
• A good knowledge of theatre/event live sound equipment and practices
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures
• Ability to read and understand Technical plans
• Awareness of Safeguarding requirements and good practice within an education setting
• Experience and operation of Allen & Heath Avantis console, Dante setup & use, D&B software.
• Knowledge of ETC Ion lighting desk / software
• IPAF Certificate
• First Aid at Work
