Smiles for Sibs Sessional Playworker: Bracknell
Reporting to: Wokingham Smiles for Sibs Coordinator (directly) & the Chief Executive
Purpose of job: To assist in the provision of activities for children aged 8-13 in a safe and stimulating environment
Hours: Average 2 hours per week
Club hours 4.30pm – 6.15pm Thursdays (term time) plus setting up and clearing away.
Location: Braybrooke Community Hall, Makepiece road, Bracknell, RG42 2HG or other locations including at home as required
Salary: £7.55 per hour (for 16–18-year-olds)
Duties To Include:

- To ensure adequate supervision of activities
- To help to set up the room and to help tidy away at the end of the session
- To support all aspects of Promise Inclusion’s policies on Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding Children
- To be aware and meet the needs of individual children
- To maintain communication with parents and carers
- Any other duties as required
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative
- Good communicator
- Understanding of (and commitment to meeting) the needs of people with learning disability, and their families
- Experience of working with children
- Good team player
- Empathy with client group
