Role: Service Manager

Location: Torfaen

What You Will Be Doing

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the support service within the service as well as providing active support in the continued development of the service.
  • Your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people requiring support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person-centred and flexible way.
  • Provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to give quality, enabling support to the service users.
  • Build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action to deliver a first-class service.

What You Will Need

  • Experience in managing care services for adults with learning disabilities
  • Effective communication and the ability to influence others
  • Applicants must hold QCF Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Knowledge and experience of the social care sector
  • Driver Essential
  • To be passionate about supporting people to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy
  • A good understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
  • A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
