Service Engineer

A well-established engineering company based near Nottingham is seeking a Service Maintenance Engineer to join its growing team. The company supplies precision inspection equipment used by manufacturers to ensure parts meet exact specifications before moving into production. These systems are used across industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and energy.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering who enjoys working directly with customers and solving technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out routine servicing, calibration, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site.
• Provide user training and ongoing support.
• Maintain service records and contribute to process improvements.

Ideal Candidate:

• HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics).
• Experience with precision equipment, CNC machinery, or automation systems or additive manufacturing systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available.
