What will you be doing?

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the division.
• Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary to aid decision-making.
• Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  
  

Business Partnering

• Act as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, providing financial guidance and challenge.
• Attend monthly trading reviews and contribute to performance discussions with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with contract managers to drive margin improvement and cost efficiency.
  
  

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support balance sheet reviews and ensure financial controls are adhered to.
• Monitor contract WIP and assist in working capital optimisation efforts.
  
  

Commercial Finance

• Contribute to pricing strategies, bids, and tenders by providing financial input and risk assessment.
• Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals for new projects.
• Support contract negotiations with financial analysis and scenario modelling.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
• Experience in a business-facing finance role, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or utilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Excel-based modelling.
