We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEO Specialist to help us optimise our website for search engines and improve our online visibility.
As our SEO lead, you will audit our current website, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies that will drive organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and increase engagement across our digital platforms. Your role will be crucial in helping us reach the right audiences—including women, community leaders, funders, and supporters—with the right message at the right time.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity with flexible hours. Occasional online check-ins will be scheduled based on your availability.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a volunteer with the following skills, experience, and qualities
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven experience developing and executing SEO strategies, preferably for nonprofits, small businesses, or purpose-driven brands
- Strong knowledge of SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Yoast
- Ability to conduct comprehensive SEO audits, covering technical, on-page, and off-page aspects
- Experience with on-page optimisation, including metadata, keyword integration, content optimisation, internal linking, and readability
- Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms for implementing updates
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, including site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawl issues, indexing, and structured data
- Knowledge of backlink strategies and off-page SEO best practices
- Ability to monitor site performance and interpret analytics and insights for improvements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain SEO concepts clearly
- Collaborative mindset, able to work across the marketing, content, and engagement teams
- Highly organised, reliable, and proactive in execution
- A passion for social impact and storytelling, with a desire to use digital skills to support community-led initiatives
- We require volunteers who can commit adequate time, follow through on assigned tasks, and remain actively engaged throughout their involvement.

- You can commit a minimum of 1–3 hours per week
- You are able to attend scheduled meetings, planning sessions, and team check-ins
- You are prepared to contribute steadily over a minimum period of 3–6 months
- You have the capacity to deliver assigned tasks on time with professionalism
