Job Overview

We are delighted to offer a dietitian or nutritionist within Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (LNDS) an opportunity within the Public Health team.

The post is to provide nutrition advice, training and support healthy lifestyle choices within Leicester City. The role will include nutrition training of multi-agency teams and coordination and delivery of nutrition work in schools and Leicester city communities to support the city councils Whole System Approach to Healthy Weight. The post holder will deliver, evaluate, develop Leicester City’s nutrition related public health initiatives and be an expert in public health nutrition.

Job Description (Main Duties And Responsibilities)

You will need to have experience of working in public health nutrition, excellent communication skills, a good knowledge of public health issues. Experience of working with partners and delivering and evaluating intervention programmes is essential. You will also be involved in student training.

Ability to drive, a valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for work purposes is essential for this role.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you. The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements
