Senior Project Manager Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the operational and strategic delivery of groundworks projects from our new South West office. This pivotal role demands a self-motivated leader with a strong operational groundworks background to oversee projects, inspire teams, and drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of groundworks projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, and quality objectives.
• Oversee all project phases, from site preparation and foundations to drainage and infrastructure works.
• Develop and implement project strategies, schedules, and risk management plans.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
• Drive commercial performance by monitoring costs, optimizing resources, and negotiating contracts.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, mentoring and motivating staff to achieve excellence.
• Foster strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining industry-leading standards.
• Represent the company in the South West, contributing to business development and regional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years as a Project Manager, with a strong operational background in groundworks (e.g., foundations, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure).
• Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills:
o Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating staff.
o Strong commercial awareness, with expertise in project budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
o Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject, or similar).
o Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead with confidence in a fast-paced environment.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial function of our new South West office, overseeing groundworks projects and driving the success of our regional expansion. This pivotal role requires a self-motivated leader with a strong groundworks background to manage costs, contracts, and teams while inspiring excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the commercial strategy for groundworks projects, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, valuations, and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement processes, including subcontractor agreements and material sourcing.
• Conduct risk assessments, cost analysis, and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
• Administer contracts, managing variations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, mentoring and motivating staff to achieve excellence.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Represent the company in the South West, fostering strong client relationships and driving business growth.
What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Skills:

o Exceptional commercial awareness and expertise in cost management and contract negotiation.
o Proficiency with industry software (e.g., Causeway, Excel, or similar).
o Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead with confidence in a fast-paced environment.
