Backoffice Product Manager Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of our backoffice products, driving innovation and delivering significant business value. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and champion a data-driven approach to product development, ensuring our solutions consistently meet operational needs and exceed internal user expectations.

We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of our backoffice products, driving innovation and delivering significant business value. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and champion a data-driven approach to product development, ensuring our solutions consistently meet operational needs and exceed internal user expectations.
Strategic Intake & Prioritization:
- Serve as the central point of contact for all incoming Backoffice project requests from business stakeholders
- Rigorously define and document the business benefits, key performance indicators (KPIs), strategic priorities, and key business sponsors for each new request
- Lead collaborative sessions with Technical Leads to develop effort estimates, explore potential technical approaches, and assess initial feasibility
- Partner with stakeholders to establish data-driven priority scores, based on a comprehensive analysis of potential business impact versus required effort, directly influencing strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month product and project roadmap, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical improvements, informed by stakeholder priorities and technical estimates
- Own and manage the overall project backlog, performing initial triage of incoming requests and leading the pre-delivery discovery phase
- Own and manage the product backlog at the team level, ensuring it's well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for development
- Act as a dedicated Product Owner for development teams, breaking down high-level initiatives into clear epics and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
- Champion Scrum and Agile methodologies within the teams, providing guidance, and support to ensure adherence to best practices and continuous improvement
- Actively support the development teams in understanding requirements, resolving ambiguities, and ensuring efficient execution
- Take full responsibility for all project management tasks for assigned projects, including managing project plans across multiple cross-functional teams
- Proactively identify, track, and remove blockers and dependencies, both internal and external, to ensure smooth project progression
- Maintain consistent and transparent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones
- Collaborate effectively with other Product & Delivery Managers to coordinate dependent tasks and ensure sequential delivery across interconnected projects
- Facilitate the evaluation of project and product success post-delivery, reviewing adherence to timelines, assessing actual vs. forecasted KPI performance, and gathering feedback to improve future iterations and strategic planning
