The role
As aSenior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering critical nuclear infrastructure projects that support national security and clean energy.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, quality assurance teams, and suppliers, to ensure procurement excellence across the Sellafield SRP (SPRS Retreatment Plant) project.
Essential experience of the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:

- Lead and manage a procurement team, driving high performance and value delivery
 - Develop and execute project procurement strategies aligned with cost, quality, and schedule goals
 - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
 - Ensure procurement deliverables are met through cross-functional collaboration
 - Strengthen the supply chain to support both functional and business objectives
 
Essential experience of the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:
- Experience in post-contract management within a highly regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, utilities, oil and gas)
 - Strong understanding of NEC or similar contract frameworks
 - Proven ability to manage procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies
 - Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
 - Confident in reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders
 
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent is desirable but not essential
