Senior Information Technology Engineer - Azure
Cegal

Help shape the next generation of cloud platforms for the global energy industry.
We’re looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer with a passion for building, securing, and optimising modern cloud platforms - and who’s ready to step into a Technical Account Manager role for some of our most valued customers.
At Cegal, you’ll join a friendly, skilled public cloud team supporting both local and international clients across the energy sector. You’ll be working on a mix of technical delivery and customer advisory:
Azure engineering:
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Automate and optimise cloud-based services using tools like Terraform or Bicep
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the Azure platform
- Collaborate with development teams and other specialists to deliver innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with cloud architecture and security best practices
Technical account management:
- Act as the go-to technical contact for selected enterprise customers in the UK
- Oversee technical delivery and ensure it meets - and exceeds – expectations
- Proactively recommend improvements to performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth, high-quality delivery
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders
What we’re looking for
We value curiosity, initiative, and a real passion for technology – especially cloud and Azure. If you’re just as comfortable in front of a customer as you are in a terminal window, this could be the role for you.
We think you might have:
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure in a professional environment
- Relevant certifications within Azure and cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
- An understanding of DevOps principles and tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD
- Experience with cloud networking, security, and identity management
- Monitoring and logging experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar
- Strong communication skills in English, along with great collaboration skills
- Experience with technical account management is a plus, but not required
We don’t expect you to tick every box - if you bring the drive to learn, we’ll give you the opportunities and resources to grow.
What’s in it for you
- Impact - We’re a company with the perfect size. Large enough to have a global impact, small enough for you to stand out and make a difference.
- International exposure - Collaborate with colleagues and customers in Norway and across the globe
- Career growth - Whether you want to be a deep technical specialist or move into leadership, we’ll support you with a clear career framework and mentoring
- Insurance – Private health and travel insurance
- Paid certifications – We invest in your skills, covering costs of Azure exams and bonuses for new certifications
- Great work-life balance – Flexible hours and a supportive team culture
- Inclusive culture – We’re proud of our diversity, with colleagues from 40+ nationalities, and we actively support increased gender representation and diversity women in tech industry
