What Will You Be Doing?

Reporting to the Development Manager, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge, scalable, multi-tier solutions that ensure 24/7 operation in Blue Light Control Rooms. These critical systems are hosted across in-house, on-site, and Azure environments, supporting essential services where reliability and performance are paramount.

As a key member of the development team, you will bring a deep understanding of application programming and a commercial mindset, leveraging a broad range of development technologies to deliver robust and innovative solutions. This is a chance to contribute to systems that make a real impact, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will drive technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Core essential Skills will include, but not be limited to:

  • Commercial experience with C# and .NET frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and SignalR development.
  • Knowledge of cloud development and customer-facing websites.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Experience with ticket management using Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of SpecFlow for BDD.

About You

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing high-quality software adhering to TDD and BDD principles, ensuring unit testing, code reviews, and regular check-ins for continuous integration. A strong understanding of system design and architecture is essential to lead technical solution delivery aligned with product development and client project requirements.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential, additionally, the candidate will build solutions compliant with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and work positively with cross-domain teams to achieve project goals.

To meet national security vetting requirements, you must have been a resident in the UK for at least 5 years, prior to application.
