Job Title: SEN TA - Post 16

Location: Ashington

Salary: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long Term

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support post-16 students in a specialist educational setting in Ashington. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

Responsibilities Of The SEN TA Post 16

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to post-16 students with SEN, helping them develop independence and life skills.
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and adapting materials to meet individual student needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
• Support students' emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs, where required.
  
  

Requirements Of The SEN TA Post 16

• Experience working with SEN students, particularly post-16 learners, is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with staff.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with students with diverse needs.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
