The Role: Sales Manager

Location: Norwich

Hours: 48 hours, 5 days out of 7 - This will include the weekend when we experience our busiest days

Salary: £40,000 + bonus + ECOS car

Contract type: Permanent

  • Due to the nature of the role, we will require you to have held a driving licence for more than a year. Infrequent travel to other Motorpoint locations may be necessary*

Our Sales Managers are responsible for the leadership of our sales team and are key to driving business growth through sales, by coaching and motivating the team to deliver success. As a Sales Manager you will lead and inspire the team to deliver high levels of customer service and profitability.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, commercially-minded leader of people. Developing individuals within our team is at the heart of what we do, from 1-1s, team meetings, development plans and teaching others to do the same.

You are accountable for your store's sales performance, you will work closely with the multiple functions on-site to ensure targets are met, obstacles are overcome and customers are impressed with their purchase experience.

Our employees are at the heart of the business, your role is to lead, motivate, inspire, recognise, reward and challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily review of KPIs and action plans
  • Daily team brief
  • Customer record and sales lead management
  • Second face customers - to add value or placate any issues
  • Weekly 1-1s with team members
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on trends and identifying areas for improvement
  • Weekly meetings with key stakeholders across the business
  • Resource management and planning, including annual leave and rotas
  • Team recognition
  • Boosting your team's social media presence
  • Developing and implementing longer-term people and performance strategy
  • Organising regular team socials
  • Taking responsibility for the running of the store in the absence of the General Sales Manager
