Overview:

Edinburgh Trams is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to join the team. You will be a key player in driving the commercial success of our business, working closely with the Managing Director. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead tram adverting sales and delivery across a portfolio of clients, ensuring company goals are met.
  • Negotiate and oversee advertising sales and delivery, securing new business and retain existing clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities, driving growth from both existing and new clients.
  • Set and achieve sales targets, ensuring that Edinburgh Trams continues to expand its market presence.
  • liaising with Tram engineer to ensure timely delivery of campaigns taking cognisance of tram availability and operational requirements.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to strengthen the company's brand and competitive edge.
  • Represent Edinburgh Trams at industry events
  • Ensure Edinburgh Trams keep up to date with the latest market trends, developments and innovations.
  • Ensuring sales activities align with both City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh Trams overall business strategy.
  • Production and timely delivery of periodic reports, including Client and Board Reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with the ability finalise deals.
  • Excellent organisational skills to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in advertising sales and sales administration.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with different departments.
  • Experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
