Hydro Group manufactures bespoke subsea cable and connector assembly engineering for the oil and gas, marine renewable energy and defence industries.
We are certified to ISO 9001 and 14001:2015 to design and manufacture subsea electrical and optical connectors, electrical pressure hull penetrators, associated subsea electrical cable terminations, installation of electrical and optical connectors, specialist underwater and harsh environment electrical and optical composite cables, tethers and umbilicals. Our products are precision-engineered to withstand the harshest environmental conditions.
Position Summary
You will have a role in building relationships with key customers, preparing & submitting quotations and proposals, liaising with our Design Engineers to provide "right first time" solutions to their requirements; and with our Production Departments to ensure that products delivered exceed their expectations. Crucial to the position will be driving Sales objectives to meet the Group's ambitious growth objectives, with local, national and internationally targeted customers. The Position responsibilities also includes assisting the sales team in managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to multitask.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous experience in subsea/marine industry or in the supply or manufacture of a technical product would be beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and telephone manner.
- Wide-ranging computer literacy including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to develop an understanding of the Group products and capabilities.
- Willing to travel and develop presentation skills
- Receive and acknowledge customer enquiries and accurately record their requirements
- Cost estimating, Prepare and submit quotations
- Liaise with production and engineering departments to complete proposals and orders
- Support sales team and business partners
- Adhere to the quotation follow-up processes to achieve maximum conversion rates from quotations to orders.
- Prime contact for nominated accounts/market territories
- Assist in bid preparation and complex tender submissions
- Assist in business forecasting
- Management reporting
- Hosting customer visits, attending exhibitions
- Assist in the management of priorities within the sales team
- Ensure the proper administration of the sales enquiry process
- Provide clear and consistent summary performance reports regarding enquiry and quote progress and outcome
- Assist in the internal training and effectiveness of the Sales Coordinator role
- Maintain Group management behaviors practices and equal opportunity policy
- Comply with any environmental responsibilities as identified by the Group and communicated by your line manager that are relevant within your department.
