As our Reward Business Partner, you will play a lead role in delivering initiatives which support Scania being the employer of choice for our colleagues. This is an exciting time for the Reward team, with many initiatives in their early stages of development and a clear focus on delivering some critical projects over the next 12 months. Projects include the development of our job grading framework and the alignment of our benefits and reward framework. In addition, you will play a key role in advising and managing our cyclical reward activities such as annual pay and bonus reviews.

In this role, you will:


  • Lead the evolution of our job grading system as we review our benefits and align frameworks with our overall People strategy
  • Support the Head of Reward in working with our global Centre of Competence, leading the rollout of new initiatives and programmes.
  • Provide expertise to the business on a variety of issues, including developing appropriate pay ranges, benefits and incentive schemes within our global frameworks
  • Act as the subject matter expert for compensation and benefits queries.
  • Use current market insights to ensure our reward activities are relevant, effective, and aligned with our Reward strategy.
  • Work closely with the wider People & Culture team to drive initiatives which ensures Scania is the employer of choice.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with our external reward and benefits partners.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, identify, advise and lead the delivery of any required changes .


About you:

Reward Expertise – An experienced reward professional with a track record in designing, leading, and delivering reward and benefits initiatives. Experience of working with Mercer and Hay job grading frameworks will be an advantage.

Delivery focus – Proven experience of delivering organisation wide reward initiatives within tight timescales and within budget

Analytical Thinking – Analytical skills with the ability to work in a complex organisation, analyse information from various sources and make recommendations for the way forward

Stakeholder Management – Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally with the ability to influence and guide senior leaders.

Collaborative Team Player – confident in working across different areas of the organisation (both in the UK and globally) , to ensure successful delivery of Reward projects

Proactive and Self-Motivated – Continuously seeks opportunities to develop and implement changes, showing initiative and a forward-thinking approach.
