Contract type: Full time
OCU Group is a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary service provider operating across the utilities, energy and engineering sectors. With a strong reputation for delivering essential infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas, we are entering the next phase of our growth journey. To support this, we are seeking an experienced Resourcing Director to design, lead and deliver a best-in-class recruitment strategy.

This is a senior leadership role, pivotal in ensuring OCU Group consistently attracts, engages and retains the specialist talent required to deliver complex engineering and utilities projects. You will take full accountability for shaping and leading the resourcing function, building capability from the ground up while embedding robust systems, processes and innovative approaches. With a strong focus on the future, you will design and deliver resourcing strategies that anticipate business needs and support OCU Group’s ongoing growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a group-wide resourcing strategy aligned to business growth to include overseas talent acquisition.
  • Manage a centralised resourcing function, recruiting, coaching and developing a high-performing team.
  • Embed new recruitment systems and processes to improve efficiency, candidate experience and long-term workforce planning.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to understand workforce needs and provide expert resourcing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements, including those relating to overseas recruitment.

About You

We are seeking an accomplished resourcing leader with a strong background in engineering and utilities recruitment, ideally gained within a large, multi-site organisation. Expertise in international and overseas recruitment, including compliance, would be highly advantageous.

You will bring a proven track record of building and leading high-performing resourcing teams and functions, with clear evidence of success in introducing new systems, processes and methodologies that deliver measurable improvements.

OCU Group operates in a fast-paced and evolving environment, where priorities can shift quickly. To thrive, you will demonstrate resilience, agility and a solutions-focused mindset, combined with exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and engage effectively at executive level.

Why Join OCU Group?

This is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact within a high-growth organisation that plays a critical role in the delivery of infrastructure essential to society. At OCU Group, you will find an environment that values innovation, collaboration and leadership, where your expertise will shape the future of our workforce and underpin our long-term success.
