We are trailing the four day working week, get paid 100% for 80%!Job title: Relationship Manager Location: Remote Regional Role with occasional travel - can be based anywhere in the UKSalary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum dependent on experience + Car Allowance Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.Job PurposeThe Relationship Manager will serve as a key liaison between OFG and Local Authorities (LAs), ensuring positive and constructive relationships that align with OFG's objectives. This role will also involve engaging closely with the senior leadership teams at OFG schools, fostering strong partnerships and facilitating smooth collaboration. By leveraging commercial acumen, financial expertise, and excellent communication skills, the Relationship Manager will ensure that interactions with LAs and internal stakeholders support the overall success of the organisation. Regular travel to sites and Local Authority offices will be required to maintain effective engagement and deliver on OFG’s goals.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with Local Authorities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage with senior leadership teams across OFG schools, providing support and fostering strong internal relationships.
  • Represent OFG’s interests in discussions with Local Authorities, advocating for the needs of schools while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Utilise financial expertise to support discussions on P&L, budgeting, and funding allocations.
  • Conduct regular visits to OFG schools and Local Authority offices to strengthen relationships, address issues, and provide support.
  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and updates to internal stakeholders and Local Authorities, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on engagement with Local Authorities to inform strategic decision-making within OFG.
  • Ensure all interactions with Local Authorities adhere to relevant regulations and best practices, safeguarding OFG’s reputation and compliance.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in relationship management, ideally within an educational setting or with Local Authorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior leadership teams and external stakeholders, particularly within a regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience preparing reports and delivering presentations.
  • Familiarity with the education sector and an understanding of the challenges and regulations related to working with Local Authorities.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate, with a track record of successfully resolving complex issues with external partners.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to various school sites and Local Authority offices.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in education, business, finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
