This role may be based from your home, or one of our offices though some travel will be required for this role for stakeholder and team meetings. This can be discussed at interview.

The Children’s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We’re there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our People, Culture and Transformation group which includes all colleague who enable in their work with people (in this we mean employees and volunteers), and provide support functions in technological transformation. Your role will be to look after day-to-day employee and volunteer relations matters, support organisational change, and work in partnership with line managers- coaching where appropriate. They enable the People Partner to lead on improving people relations and policy; oversee complex organisational change; and partner closely and strategically with organisational leaders.

We are currently looking for a people and business focused professional - ideally CIPD level 5 qualified to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to support people relations cases, prepare people policies, enhance relationships with People Partnering and use People data to drive those conversations.

In order to be successful in this role, ideally you need experience in:

  • Writing people policies
  • Case manage all employee and volunteer relations matters
  • Experience working in strategic people projects
  • Experience of coaching managers and delivering training
