- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure training initiatives meet organisational goals and compliance requirements.
- Support and mentor all staff to ensure continuous professional development and improve performance outcomes.
- Lead and mentor local Training team to deliver work based Training programmes.
- To provide specialist Training and Development advice to staff and Managers using PHW Infection Training Policy and PHW POD guidance.
- Responsible for procurement for selecting suppliers and authorising purchases taking into account cost, quality, delivery and reliability for staff Training and Development activities.
- Line Manager responsibility for managing staff Sickness Absence, My Contribution process and departmental work allocation.
- Responsible for Teaching and devising training as a primary job function.
- Direct responsibility for managing operation of multiple systems which generate create, storage and update information.
- Design, implement and manage regional training programmes aligned with the organisation’s objectives for Infection Division.
- Ensure all training activities offered to Infection Division staff comply with industry regulations and best practices, and that they promote diversity and inclusion.
- To lead the local T&D team to plan work to meet T&D requirements in induction, mandatory training, competence-based training, professional training, management training, risk assessment and T&D audits and to ensure that all staff maintain appropriate skill sets and provide assurance compliance figures for Infection Senior Management Team scrutiny.
- Collaborate with other Regional Training leads to produce Network and local Training policies and procedures for the delivery of the service e.g. Training Policies, Training and Competency records, Learning Agreements, Training schemes Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain a network service delivery model approach to Microbiology training requirements in collaboration with other Training leads to ensure standardised process remains endorsed by current ISO 15189:2022 laboratory accreditation.
