To provide high quality images in accordance with Radiation Regulations and departmental protocols and procedures.

To provide comprehensive and effective day to day services within the Radiology Directorate.

To ensure that the daily workload is completed in an efficient manner and that all patients are well cared for.

To supervise work of other qualified staff, assistants and students.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates to work within the busy Radiology Directorate of the Cardiff and Vale UHB. The band 6 radiographer post will be based in University Hospital of Wales (UHW), but there may be occasions to rotate to other sites within the UHB. The successful candidate will be required to work in the general radiography service with a rotation into Nuclear Medicine and the PET/CT service.

UHW is a vibrant and friendly department employing over 160 radiographers across all modalities. UHW offers excellent training and development opportunities for radiographers with a wide range of modalities on site; MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Cardiology and Interventional Radiology. The successful applicant will rotate across all general areas and a specialist modality. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
