The Quality and Evidence-Based Guidelines Midwife will be responsible for providing assurance that the Trust’s maternity department has established evidence-based guidelines (including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)) and robust processes and procedures that facilitate maternity guidelines to remain in date and adhere to locally and nationally agreed quality standards, based on a clinical governance framework.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the co-ordination of the clinical audit programme within maternity services. The post holder will provide expert advice and promote clinical audit and quality improvement and assurance projects relevant to maternity and on occasion the wider Trust.
